I see a lot of articles pointing the finger at Rooney, however we were controlling the game after Mata's goal. Sergio hasn't had much to do so far this season due to our improved defensive record. Today both goals were preventable via the goalkeeper in my opinion. This guy doesn't look comfortable with the ball at feet and his positioning is suspect for the first and reactions for the second. Nowhere near a top 4 premier league keeper.

Rooney was a large issue in their equaliser. Losing possession through your own poor play which leads directly to a goal is a big issue.

Whatever way we see it, the way we set up now, we are scre**d from front and back.

think the first was a good header but our defence was all over the place. not acceptable.
the second is all Romeros fault. that was a taibi moment
he cost us the game. at 1-1 we could have won it but at 2-1 we lost belief and the insecurities of last season came flooding back

*!Rooney cost us the game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you cant even explain why
tell me, rooney gives the ball away, we have no midfield, and no blind in defence. tell me how that is rooneys fault?
where was our defence and midfield?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does Rooney not have eyes, can he not see that we were pushing forward on the attack and our full backs were exposed?

I can't blame Romero, he obviously wasn't signed to be a #1. Coming into a club like ours is a monumental task, and he was never expecting to take over straight away as a #1. True, DDG would have saved at least one of Swansea's goals today. Blaming Romero is unfair, the blame is with the Manager in this case (IMO)

I said this in the match thread, if DDG were playing it was still 1-0. People thought I may have been a little harsh but having seen the goals a again I'm certain both are saved by a decent keeper.

In regards to the goal, it shouldn't be forgotten Depay was fouled from the back leading up to Rooneys bad touch. Shaw bombed on past him and that left he gaping hole Swansea exploited.

its not his job to defend
if that ball got through we'd have been one on one with the keeper
those wanting us to attack us moaning that we took a risk. you would still expect the team to deal with the counter attacks.

No but it is his job to at least have the presence of mind to see we were in the shat if he did the stupid one touch hollywood pass. Could have held up the ball and passed it off to a safer option.

He should not have been in a position to save either chance
