Holty I think that you'll find that mr afellay will be a regular in the refs book this season as regards to lescott happy to keep him but if he goes I wish him well .............

Strange thread. Gardner gets a smack round the chops in front of the ref. Ref see's it and sends Afellay off....and it's Gardner's fault???

Weird.

Affelay was stupid no doubt, but gardner actually hit him 1st and then when hit back touched his face like he was punched or something.

Gardner 'tapped' him on the chin with no 'malice' and received a yellow card for it, whereas, Afellay smacked Gardner with some venom in retaliation, in front of the ref and quite rightly got sent off. Gardner DID clutch his face but the Ref had already seen the incident so had no bearing on his decision at all.

I really can't see an issue here unless, of course, it's because it's a West Brom player.

....regards Lescott. I'm not surprised we would let him go, he looked pretty leggy and slow at the end of last season, however, I am surprised we would sell him to Villa.
