proposed loyalty card scheme

I see that the Club are to adopt another of our member's ideas and have volunteers being used for a loyalty scheme, well how about that. Well while they are at it. How about this one - NO NOT THE MEMORIAL AREA - which in my humble oppinon is a lack of respect to the dead and families - Health and Safety ?... Ashes of loved ones to be strewn on a public area near a ground, yes fenced off with mesh at this time.

JR and team did not consider the deal on the ground with research and from a rent of around £250,000 to £1m in one jump. So this is what I think.

Enter into an agreement with DMBC who want rid of the stadium and land around it..


£1m rent per annum over a period of how many years a deal can be struck to purchase it all i.e. ten years - Rent with view to buy.

Have one Management and CEO who has experience in Marketting and Management of Staff - all existing SMC staff would be re deployed as DMBC staff I believe. The club then could have sole responsibilty of the ground and all finances involved.

Rent the Facilities to The Dons and Belles who are going full time this year I believe.

Utilise the Open Theatre Ampi Theatre near the lake for shows. The Racecourse deals with Major groups ie Mc Fly etc in a Tented area so let that deal continue OR any artiste ie Elton John have to rent the facilities at the Keepmoat and included in the deal is a "Repair of Pitch or Stadia Damage clause"

Now the tricky bit - If possible (Only an idea) sell off Cantley Park and centralise everything at the Stadium. Jnrs etc to play games on pitch two . A carpetted system could be used from main dressing rooms for players to the mini stadia for protection of studs to avoid injury to players and same on training day. (Astra turf or a similar material) The latter would cut costs of running Cantley park T G.

These are my ideas, what do you think - You never know this miight come to fruition one day. I have at this time thought of the staff to be re-allocated and I think that the ticket office and ground staff should be employed by the club and stop the usual passing of blame. to Rovers or SMC - New pitch?
