Harry Kane

Well,in the very unlikely event that we sign another striker in the next 20 minutes..Looks like Harry Kane will pretty much have to play every game this season..barring injury & suspension.

I really can't see Chadli,Son or N' Jie being able to play up top & do a decent job..

Harry looks tired & off the pace already..

Bit worried to be honest!

Thoughts?

It's a shambles when for £15m the perfect signing to backup Kane is available in Charlie Austin.

Shouldn't have sold Soldado if we weren't going to replace him. We now have one striker (with only one season's experience) in our squad.

Feel for Poch-his hands are tied.

Charlie Austin has a bad knee apparently, which rather explains the lack of bids for him.

I would try Lamela as a CF, he could be in the RVP mould of strikers

Think its time to put Levy on the Guy Fawkes bonfire.
As I said earlier, and Chronic disagrees, this spurs team is destined for somewhere around 10 - 12th spot this season.
Kane will get injured.
He's double teamed all the time now.
And Levy wil ultimately lose more money this way than by paying wot WBA asked.

Austin has played virtually every match for the past few years, not buying this dodgy knee.

Our big problem is that Son, Lamela, N'Jie etc are all capable of playing off Kane, but can any of them lead the line if he gets injured?

Austin's played 30plus games as season for the last 4 years. He's hadly Aby Diaby or Wheelchair Wilshire.

Wots all this talk of Austin for?
Have we put in a low bid for him?

I don`t blame Levy for not paying the ridiculous price WBA wanted. OK so Real paid the ridiculous price for Bale, but then they are complete mugs when it comes to buying players, and are easy to rip off, Levy rightfully is not such a soft touch. Berahino is worth only about £15 million tops, done nothing particular to warrant such a ridiculously high price.

Levy's between a rock and a hard place .... and seems to prefer the rock with no options.
Fact is, Kane will get injured.
Then wot have we got ... ADE?
If Levy pays the asking price for Berahino he at least has a very good gamble. The kids young, hungry, and a goo dplayer. If he does well (that is the gamble) then Levy can sell him on for 50 Mil. And probably keep the club in the top six as well.
He has taken worse gambles in the past, e.g., Soldado who didnt even have Prem experience, and lost.
Why not this one??
Its a lot better gamble.

Don't look at the asking price. Look at the potentials.
