Arsenal and Man U embarrassed the transfer

window.

How can 2 of the best Premiership teams make their fans cringe with embarrassment during this summers transfer window?

We are laughed at due to just one signing and Wenger deciding to f.ck off away (again) on deadline day.

Man U are laughed at for their inability to sign Pedro and the De Gea shambles on Sunday let alone forking out £35 mil on a 19 year old whose only played a hatful of games.

How the mighty have fallen....

Suppose only time will tell if both of us did actually have a good window but that doesn't mean both of our teams are being laughed at😡

I agree with that.

there seems to be this insistence that it's 100% Madrid's fault and it's because they left it to the last day.

I think Madrid botched the deal in the last 1/2 hour (reasons uncertain, but they did)

I also think United did their best to help a deal collapse by sitting on the contracts for 8 hours.

What I think is complete horseshiiite is that they left it too late therefore it's all their fault. They didn't. If Real bid £29mil for Bebe at 11pm, I'm 100% confident the deal would have been done by 11:30 with United putting everyone on making it happen. Timing wasn't a problem.

Kaiser

I've said all along that I'm sure we didn't make things easy but it was more about standing our ground. We had a fee that we wanted and by the looks of it it was agreed (finally). But then it seems Real made 'major changes' and reports are that these changes was a reduced fee. If that's the case then Real are incredibly stupid.

Once we agreed the fee I feel we wanted the deal to go through, Real decided with 20 minutes to change things.

Of course timing was a problem. If they had tried Monday night's antics 4 weeks ago the window would still be open and the deal would have gone through. Its not rocket sconce.

But TV programme 'El Chiringuito believes that Perez had a last-minute change of heart
----------------------------------------------------------------------

El Chiringuito is a late-night footy chat (or should I say shouting) show where half a dozen panelists rival each other to see which of them is capable of making the most preposterous statements using the loudest possible voice.

In all likelihood, they probably put forward the above idea, along with an entirely opposite view and other theories ranging from involvement on behalf of Elvis or JFK to some FC Barcelona double agent fiddling the times on the fax machine.

Hardly surprising a UK tabloid considers it a source worth reporting.

do fax machines really still get used or is that just an expression like 'video' which is just old habit?

I do remember seeing fax machines on desks in th offices at Melwood last year, but I cannot remember them actually being used while I was there. Not that they were needed for the business I was conducting (pizza delivery).

Yes they do still use fax machines. They are still used quite a lot in business.
