Uncle Woy

Considering England's performance at the last WC he's got a cheek saying this....Thought he was better than that.

The thing is Carrick has greatly improved since then (2006) as well so it makes it even more baffling.

But Mark Longden of the Independent Manchester United Supporters' Association told BBC Sport: "I cannot understand what is going on.

"I have not spoken to anybody who, when £18.6m became available, would have spent that on Michael Carrick.

"But people have questioned Sir Alex Ferguson's judgment in the past and finished up with egg on their face and I hope it happens again."
....
Man Utd 06-07 transfer business 1 player in Michael Carrick, RVN sold a long with Tim Howard and SE Blake and some other players. People thought SAF was crazy. I actually remember some pundits thought SAF should retire and that we would struggle to make top 4 when we had one of our most dominant sides in the PL that season and just fell short in CL and Fa Cup.

Why did so many fans think Liverpool were going to win the league? Makes no sense Understand Chelsea but Liverpool Only an Everton fan thought Man Utd would win the league. 14 for chelsea 5 for Liverpool and 1 for Man Utd which is an Everton fan So only 1 fan correct out of 20.

BBC Sport verdict: A crucial season to try to end the Chelsea dominance, but the sole outfield capture of Michael Carrick does not bode well.

United look short of goals without Ruud van Nistelrooy, while the men who will shoulder the burden of replacing the Dutchman, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Louis Saha, are too injury-prone.

A fit-again Paul Scholes and Gabriel Heinze are a huge boost but the club are probably playing for second once more.

Key man: Wayne Rooney. Must steer clear of injury and controversy this season.
........
Great analysis one of our best goalscoring seasons under SAF heck probably our best in all competitions

Sorry Hafi I'm half cut and can't decrypt that

I worked out that we scored 123 goals that season. I love the 123 number Look short of goals That must be the worst prediction ever as that is one of our highest ever scoring seasons in all competitions.

Boris Uncle Woy mentioned Michael then Michael Carrick twice on ITV. Shame he rarely plays him.

I didn't watch or listen to the game as I had stuff to do inN. Yorkshire but it went the way I expected:

Convincing win with Rooney being held back so he has the oppurunity to break the record at Wembley - A stunt to try and sell more tickets.

I wouldn't be surprised if Beckham gets a recall for the remaining dead-rubber games.
