So Wayne Rooney has had his say on the Raheem S signing. Agrees with it and thinks he'll do well for us.
Thanks Shrek. That has reassured me now. Shrek.

While perhaps City have paid overly high wages to a number of players, it was necessary at the time to attract a certain calibre of player to the club.
However I'm glad that those days are behind us.
.......
.... really? So you didn't have to offer huge pay rises to Delph, Sterling and De Bruyne to get them to sign?

Delph - £8m. Probably earning £80k pw. (50% more than the average PL player).
Sterling - £180k pw. £20k pw more than what LFC were going to give him to stay. Highest rated youngster in Europe.
KDB - £160k pw for the German League player of the season. He was offered £120k pw at Wolfsburg. There hardly MASSIVE increases in the bigger scheme of things.
Wonder how much Martial is on pw compared to his Monaco salary?

Delph even admitted he moved for financial security, and the Wolfburg director revealed that you had offered De Bruyne 'astonishing' wages, not to mention the money that Sterling turned down that was offered by Liverpool.
You'd have to be a bit slow to think they haven't all got large pay rises.

Hmm, according to that article you've just posted, the three players have added £31.7m onto the wage bill. That's £600k a week, £200k each. Or more likely £260k for De Bruyne, £200k for Sterling and £140k for Delph.

Martial's weekly wage at Monaco was £21,358.
So that would mean if United doubled his wage, he'd be on close to £43k pw (yeah right). Trebled £64k pw (), therefore, are we talking about quadrupling his wage or even more????
And you talk about City having to offer big salaries to attract players?

The article mentions 6 players bought - not 3.
