Just read this article on Sky Sports. Sounds familiar. Didn't a wee little Scot get sacked for saying something rather similar???
McClaren reaches pivotal moment - Forest boss calls on board to demonstrate ambition or pay the price
McClaren said: "What happens over the next few days will decide whether we can win promotion. Absolutely it will, without a shadow of a doubt.
"What we do now, over the next few days, will determine whether we are good enough to challenge or whether we are scrapping to get into the play-offs.
"I don't want that so I will be making it quite clear what we need. Deliver it or it is going to be a long season.
"We have been saying it for long enough. Over the next few days we will see the ambition of this club. That is the key thing we will see. We need to go that extra step now."
To be fair, I think most fans are asking the same thing of our Board though, aren't we?

But lots of people on these boards have been telling me everything is rosy and the board are brillinat and ambitious!
I'm sorry but most fans knew the problems we were going to have before a single ball was kicked this season, our board are a disgrace!
ND thanks for your money, but try putting some of it to good use and not letting MA control it or advise you.

Now, I like McClaren and agree that we need players but managers make me laugh. Basically he's saying buy me better players than other teams, then we'll have a better squad and will get promotion. If not then we may be in the play-offs and I don't want to do that. Meanwhile pay me a large amount of money.
It just makes me wonder how managers justify their wages? I wonder what my boss would do if I turned round and said I want him to hire someone to do some of my job for me, meanwhile he can continue to pay me what he is at the moment.
