How can Pardew outsmart Mourinho

Whereas wenger continues to lose to him and maintain an absolute embarrassment of a record against him.

Palace caused Chelsea so much trouble through pace and natural width and were damn solid at the back.

Swansea also outplayed them and scored twice. City should have scored 7 against them.

What is it with our game and Chelsea that we just can't seem to muster any chances let along score goals.

I'm sorry but the man has to leave the club. Fergie had him worked to a tee and slowly more and more managers have worked him out.

Had the game under control

You had a brief spell of possession however apart from that we were the more dominant team. We should have had a penalty before the whole Costa incident anyway.

When you dominate us? You had absolute no goal chance.

Chelsea were lame like their league position.

We paid the price for having Theo Walcott as centre forward.
He had four offside calls that would have seen him one on one.
Thierry Henry scores three of those for sure.

If Chelsea think they have a season to look forward to - they are deluded.

Arsenal are a one-dimensional team. We don't have plan B and we will still naively think we can outpass the Chelsea defensive wall even when we are down to 9 men. We don't have the quality players to play the Barca way no matter how much we try. We need a manager who can re-build the spine that served us so well in the past. Wenger is simply too arrogant to change. As the Zagreb manager said, any team that studies our game and knows how to barricade our moves can easily stop us.

Wenger has plenty of his faults, but Gabriel and the officials let him down today. We were dealing with Chelsea's pressure relatively comfortably and then right at the end, Costa acts as we expected he would and Gabriel falls into his trap. Stupid. Officials were clueless for not sending him off, Gabriel was moronic to provoke a situation that he was never going to win anyway.

Most of Mourinho's press conference was garbage, but he was right about one thing - you need emotional control and we lacked it. So for that, we can only blame ourselves.

Saw Gabriel play for Villareal various times and I still can't believe Arsenal paid 15m € for him. He is such a bad player. He's a Brazilian defender who's never been capped despite there not being any decent partner for Thiago Silva - says it all really!

Today wasn't down to Wenger at all. It was all on Mike Dean. However, I do believe that we need some fresh impetus, and that Wenger isn't getting the best out of our squad. I'm afraid the game has passed him by.

Regarding the game today, Chelsea weren't impressive at all, but then again, you don't have to be impressive when you have 12 men and are playing against 10/9 men.
