Delight as Mohamed Bangura signs for Celtic
By: Paul Cuddihy on 30 Aug, 2011 13:42
CELTIC are delighted to announce the signing of Mohamed Bangura, who has joined the club on a four-year deal.
The highly-rated striker was an impressive performer for AIK Stockholm last season, having moved to the club following a successful loan spell at another Swedish side, IFK Varnamo. And the 22-year-old has also been capped by Sierra Leone.
Speaking to the official Celtic website, manager Neil Lennon said: “We believe Mohamed is a player of real quality and someone who has the potential to make a big contribution to Celtic.
“He comes highly recommended by people in the Swedish game. We have had him watched for a year or so, and all the reports have been very positive, and I know Mohamed is excited about joining the club.
“He’s a young player and someone with great enthusiasm for Celtic and for the challenge ahead, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming him to the squad.”
And the player is thrilled to be joining Celtic. Speaking exclusively to the official Celtic website, Mohamed said: “I am delighted to be joining a club the size of Celtic.
“I’m flattered that someone like Henrik Larsson would recommend me. I know all about Henrik and what a great player he was for Celtic, and I’m looking forward to joining up with my new team-mates and working hard to do well at Celtic and help the club be successful.”

This is the guy I wanted the most, Goal ratio = 0.6
Baba's = 0.3
Also he plays for a team which would probably batter us if we met them in a Europa qualifier.
