Pearson = legend???? Wow some are easily pleased.

I am, all it takes is a Manager to get us from Division 1 to The Premier League and keep us there while correcting the mistakes of two donkeys on the way and I'm a happy boy.
No wonder he's our best ever Manager!

Pearson = Leicester Legend.
If you don't think that you're pretty hard to please.
Let's hope Ranieri becomes the next...

A man of flawed judgements and suspect temperament but one who was very committed to his job.
Twice in his time with us it has been necessary for him to leave.
But as you say - we move on with a new manager who has surprised and delighted me so far bringing intellect and integrity alongside his obvious tactical skills
A manager who already seems to recognise the importance of the club as an institution.

You should have 'phoned that bloody show today then and have told him that mate!

He's not our best ever manager, to be in that category you have to win something. He doesn't come close to what O'Neill achieved, I don't care what his win ratio was.
If he takes the next club up into the prem, sustains 3 top 10 finishes and wins the league cup twice, then he's got my attention.
Until then, I think he's been great for us, one of our best, but certainly not the best....

Well he did win the Division 1 Title, the Championship title and more importantly a future for LCFC in the Premier League.
Still, I was only repeating what the 'Ostrich' stated in his column, I still prefer MON gor that accolade.

Legend- not in a million years.
Best manager ever- that one made me laugh lol

I'm happy to class Pearson in the Leicester Legend category and after nearly 50 years of following City I wouldn't use that term lightly.
MON just shades it for me as the better manager because he consistently achieved in the Premier League. NP wasn't given that opportunity but I think he probably would have continued to improve the club had he stayed.
MON scraped promotion via the play-offs in his first year after some pretty tough times during the season. I wonder what would have happened had we lost that Final against Palace? Would he and could he have built a team to get out of the Championship?
I really hope Ranierri succeeds at the club. He's made a cracking start but he has got a long, long way to go before we can judge his management a success.
I suspect it is my long held fox-tinted pessimism but I cannot help feeling that we are an accident waiting to happen. Our defensive play (across the team) has been poor this season and sooner or later we are not going to score the 2 or 3 goals we need in a game to overcome the defensive frailties. For me Claudio needs to step up, recognise the weakness of a back 4 incorporating Wes and RDL and find a solution. This should have happened by now.

Legend status tends to be awarded after a period of time has passed and you can compare a manager or players career against his contemporaries.
Brian Clough is a suitable legend at Nottingham Forest. Does Nigel Pearson fit into that category? Too early to tell. We have 2 promotions and a season of survival, but no silverware unlike MON and no consistent top 10 finishes. He simply wasn't given that amount of time.
The key will be how he fares in his next job to see how it could have panned out at Leicester. Will he be future England manager material? Or will he become a survival and promotion specialist - a better Ian Holloway if you will
