Greetings Posh people, Southend fan in peace. Congrats on getting Wesley as your new manager, I hope. He did very well at Stevenage last season but we destroyed his team at roots Hall in the play-off semis. Anyway, not the point of my post.
We have just appointed Dave Robinson as our under 21 manager, and as usual on our main message board there are those who know his granny's cat who think he is rubbish or brilliant, dependent. So, as I know absolutely nothing about the guy. is he a good appointment for our U21s?

Most definitely. A number of our present first-team squad started in the U.21's when Robbo was in charge. Nurturing young players is his strength.

Thanks mate, your view is much appreciated. It never fails to amaze me how our supporters can have very strong views about someone without even knowing them!! Thanks also for not pointing out that I got his surname wrong.
Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from when we visit obviously.

No probz, however, we'll be seeking revenge for that defeat in front of the TV cameras.

If our 'old folks' forward line of Dave Mooney and Noel Hunt are fit and functioning, then we might make that a bit difficult for you, if they are out injured, then we might well make your wish come true.

Two good players, as was evident when we last played you.

Well firstly, it's Dave Robertson.
Secondly, his strength is apparently young players so that's a plus for you.
On the negative side I know a few people who have seen his coaching first hand and haven't been impressed. This is just anecdotal evidence and of course they might be people who don't really know what they are talking about, but I have heard it from more than one who are involved in local football here in Peterborough.
He seems like a good bloke so I hope it works out for him either way.
