Rodgers should get till the end of this season as a minimum.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
December should be the maximum if results don't start improving.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But will results improve? I don't think they will.

Agree with this.

Looking at our fixture list in October, probably not.

Having a lot of shots but failing to score especially in more than one consecutive game is a failure of the manager. I don't see how it's not. It's his job to get the team in the right frame of mind and he is in charge of training, of which finishing is a part of.
Whether the last two games are an improvement will be clear soon. It could possibly be that the teams we have played have been poor teams which make us look better than we are. Rodgers will get more time IMO so let's see whether he is getting lucky or really turning the corner.

I don't care if we had 100 shots.
We just drew at home to a L2 side who are 10th.
This is on the back of only winning 5 out of 21 games before that.
How anyone can still defend Rodgers is beyond me.
He has spent more than any Liverpool manager in history bar maybe Rafa (not sure on the stat) and we are terrible.
These are 90% his players now that he can't get to perform physically or mentally.
He has no excuses anymore about not being his team or missing out on players. We haven't even got a lot of injuries with only the standard few players missing that every club has.
We should be 5th best team in the country as a minimum and currently we would struggle to be the 5th best team on Merseyside as we can't beat anyone, bilge French teams, relegation contenders, L2 teams, you name them we can't beat them.
'We have 5 winnable games coming up'.
Oops. Looks like we have two left and neither are winnable when we can't beat anyone.

That's the thing though, I said we have five winnable games before we played them. I'm not sure why you're jumping all over it as if it was a ridiculous thing to say.
I'm not blindly defending Rodgers either. I'm giving him plenty of criticism, but I'm being balanced about it. He's done loads wrong, but some of you seem to be neglecting the fact that the players have to take responsibility sometimes as well. The last two games I would hold the players responsible for not winning, Rodgers did little wrong in both of them.
I'll give the manager what support I can, whilst criticising when I feel it's justified. If he goes then fine, I would understand why. But I'm not going to jump on every single thing that happens and blindly blame the manager.

The players are his players.
He signed most of them.
Any responsibility they take is his responsibility for signing players who are not good enough to play together coherently.
Carlisle have conceded more goals this season than any team in the country. They recently let in 4 at Plymouth.
It's not that bad though is it, Rodgers is doing everything right and the players are letting him down. They will come good, the last half a season proves it.

Agree Rap.
People keep saying Bordeaux are the strongest team in the group but they haven't seen the other two yet.
Sion knocked Celtic out the other year, we have struggled against Basle continually and Young Boys have always given English teams a good game in Europe.
Sion will massively fancy their chances at Anfield.

Agreed. Only other option is that he has lost the dressing room or the players are not motivated or prepared well. One reason for having a manager is to ensure the players are on the job every game. If they are not then the finger should still be pointed at the manager.
