That's the cup out the way...

back to the league and Arsenal on Saturday, so what does everyone reckon?

I'm optimistic, as always, but I really never know what side CR is going to go with, even though he barely tinkers.

The back four you can predict but midfield and up front, you never know and on top of that, you never know how we're going to set up.

I think this could be the first game where allowing pressure could actually hurt us, we can't afford to be going 0-2 to Arsenal. I want to see us have a go at them and put them on the back foot with wave after wave of attack. They can't cause us problems if we're peppering their goal and we have the players to do it.

I think we can win, lose or draw this one but i'm going for a win and the hope that we play Kante and 4-2-3-1.

Ulloa doesn't seem to have done much or gets much game time now? So can't comment much on him

Dunge Giroud is a quality player and him and Vardy would be awesome because he will score goals with service. The problem is he's often isolated and doesn't get the service and when that's the case, he does nothing.

Vardy is effective and has an influence whether he's got the ball or not and this is why I'd choose him every time. I expect his form to continue, he scored for fun in the lower leagues which means he can finish and he's proving it at the top level now.

The goal against United was a top quality finish and his effort against Stoke is exactly what you want from a striker, fast, strong and composed.

His form since April is really his form since we started playing to his strengths.

I think Vardy is a better player than he's actually given credit for. He was played out of position for most of last season but we saw what he is capable of against United and then in the last nine games and again this season when we've played him a position that suits him. He was wasted for England and wasted last week out wide for the first half. He needs to be in the middle with someone around him to play off, which has been Mahrez recently. When he's played like this, he will score goals and continue to cause problems.

Sorry for mentioning it OOA, I'm not into having digs about West Brom anymore, over it, but his goal agaisnt you was brilliant, you have to admit that? Out muscled MacAuley, touched it a yard in front to get away, then the ball was never more than a foot away as he sprinted past Lescott and fired it across goal, in the 90th minute, after sprinting half the length of the pitch.

I've said this before and I'll say it again but I don't think there's a single striker in the league that could score that goal and these are the reasons.

It was the 90th minute when you'd expect everyone to be tired and settling for a point but not Vardy. He has more energy and more desire than any other player and he created that chance for himself out of nothing.

He then had the strength and power to get away, sprint the 50 yards and still have the power in his shot to beat a very good keeper.

He used all of his qualities to score that goal and I don't think there is another player with the same pace, energy and desire in the league. This is why I wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Was a good goal no doubt. Luckily we lumbered villa with Lescott and got Jonny Evans. Who seems a far superior player so far

Yeah he definitely is an improvement. Thought Lescott was doing well?

Goes without saying I would take a draw. We're due a defeat and Arsenal are top class on their day. Plus Sanchez is due a goal. Think it'll be the usual spirited 'up and at em' performance we are used to but probably with a narrow defeat.

Lescott had a decent season but it's pretty obvious he is running out of steam fast. To get £2m for a 33 year old we got on a free was good business. Especially as we could then reinvest that in Evans

He's already started badly at villa. 2 games, 2 defeats to you and us lol

Yeah I was surprised he started off alright to be honest, I'm sure I remember saying he wouldn't last the season 😉

Yeah great but of business for you that, helped make up for Ideye Rondon looks better though and your squad is definitely stronger than last season 👍

Villa are a funny one really, they've actually got some really decent players but lack any kind experience in midfield or up front. Sherwood also has no idea what he's doing but if Pearson took over, then I'd say they'd be a completely different team. They're not far off a half decent team but need a bit of steal and a manager that's not clueless.

Sunderland and Newcaslte look doomed to me, no quality and no fight equals no hope. The three promoted sides will at least have a go and will pick up points here and there but something has got to change drastically in the north east for them to avoid the drop.

By the end of October, with their next five fixtures, they could both easily be 10 points adrift, if the teams above only pick up five points each from the next five, which is highly likely.

Lescotts still not a bad player. If probably rate him as highly as Olsson if not higher. But it's definately better to have players who love the club and actually want to play for us. Lescott is an ex wolves youngster and a big Villa fan, which made it all the more surprising he signed for us in the first place.

Either way I'm sure both our clubs will survive. Completely different teams who will accrue points in different ways but ultimately will be close IMO
The fact you have conceded in every game yet still haven't lost. And we have only conceded against last years top 2, shows the difference

I do worry slightly if you lose Vardy and Mahrez who pn doubt are the key components in your side

We've got a whole second eleven good enough to beat the same West Ham side that won away at Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City so I'm not worried at all about injuries.

It would be a huge blow but we've got plenty of strength in depth. Okazaki actually plays a very similar game to Vardy and he's the one that allows us to play the way we do and Okazaki can give us very similar.

We have Dyer and Schlupp who can play wide if Mahrez is out so yeah not worried.

Yeah our defence is shaky at the moment, mainly because they're left too exposed and individual errors as usual but Ranieri will sort it out eventually and when we can keep it tight and attack the way we do, we'll be looking very strong.

We've still got quality players that can't get a game right now and over £20m worth of strikers on the monkey. We're only going to improve in my opinion and what we're seeing now is just the start of it.
