Vetokele the same age as our own player Eaves.
Is it not worth giving Eaves one more chance to come good than to loan
Vetokele for ( I think 3 months ).and Charlton get the benifit of a player fit again after his Achilles trouble.
And has cost us money we don't have. Your thoughts please ,
Tom Eaves v Vetokele

At the moment Golden beggars can't be choosers who wants to come and play for us ? we need a goal scorer for the weekend we have Eaves so play him or one of the young ones NL can see if Vetokele does want to play for us or Wolves on Monday then again he may have gone to Wolves while we tip toe around trying to get the cheapest loan deal.
Stop spending we have to grow and use our own. If we use the loan system its dead money unless there is a guarantee they make the grade and we can sign them at the end of the loan but with no money that is a no go so another ALF scenario is all we would see then we have to change things around get another loan if we could find one.

Eaves is not fit. I would just pick a 6 man midfield and use davies or danns as a false 9.

Problem with Eaves is that his injury has only really just been sorted out and there is still probably a hell of a long way to go to get him back to a decent fitness standard. If we were talking several months down the line then maybe think about Eaves - however, striking options are needed now.

Play Eaves for a bit to get fit and one of the young lads use what we have available if it means Eaves plays 25 mins and somebody else plays the rest so be it. We have a squad we should be using it not changing loans about all the time.

NL confirmed Wheater and Clayton in the squad for weekend Charlton want a replacement before letting their lad come and Wolves are still in the hunt.

Sounds like there are at least another 3 players ready to make the step up ,
Clayton talks of these players knocking the ball about.
That will have to stop if there's any chance of getting into the 1st team .
On gmr radio Monday ,Lennon says they are not ready yet for the 1st team ,but then says the young players are more protected today than they used to be.
He won't know the answer to that till he try's it.

Think the youngsters readiness is more physical and mental than anything skillful. From the 1 U21 match I've managed to see only Woolery is really anywhere near the physical demands of Championship football - but then I don't see them training, (actually with the first team under this manager), every day.

It's all a ploy to try and get the lowest gate against Brighton think of it as preparation for the lower leagues.

Pasty / we are only going sideways at the moment.
Another year of clearing out the rubbish and things will begin to improve .
As long as we keep Lennon. Keep the faith!!!

I hope NL stays on but expect him to leave. The club can't move forward with the current plan of loans and some low wage contract staff we are / have become a club to avoid as there is little prospect of success given the financials backwards and downwards is the only way we can go.
When we are offering peanuts plain ones at that we are only going to get monkeys if they are mad enough to come and play for us. NL might do well with some money and a club backing him he isn't going to get that at where he is now.
