What you lot think?
With Sturridge scoring twice v Villa and an international break coming up will Roy immediately call up Sturridge again? We all remember Studge getting injured on international duty last season (wouldn't blame Roy for the injury he had deeper problems with the hip) but I remember how annoyed I was at the time.
With England having strolled trough the group with games to spare will Roy look at someone who is doing well at club level like say Vardy and give them a cap and a chance or will he immediately call Studge back up?
Roy knows what you get with Sturridge so hopefully he leaves him be and gives some other lad a shot.
Will Roy call up Studge?

With Shrek's penalties ensuring he will start for England for next 3 years and Kane playing well for England Sturridge may feel he needs to get back in the England fold as there is a tournament in summer and he will not be happy to just make numbers in that squad.
He might want to play for England.

Roy must be better off looking at fringe players in this last round of games. Do England have to play 1 or 2 final qualifiers?
He knows what a fully fit Studge gives, like Rooney too, wouldn't do Studge any harm to join up with the group and train with them, maybe play a few mins but you'd have to expect Roy to give fringe players a chance in a competitive game.

He called up Wheelchair Jack after a game when he came back for arsenal. Guy is clueless and should give injury prone players time to get right. If that means they miss in the international break then so be it.

Im sure he also called Walcott after a week or 2, this was despite the fact he was injured for almost a year. Theo then got injured and missed a further month lol

Oh God I didn't even think about this. I sincerely hope not tbh and I actually want England to do well.
Utd rather he called up Ings and it's a real shame we didn't get to look at Callum Wilson who, in the two games I have seen him, looks to have some wonderful tools.
Obvs can't tell too much from 180 mins but he certainly has balance, pace and power and his movement looks good to me.

If he gets called up and picks up an injury then Hodgy better be ready for a tsunami. There will be a lot of angry scousers if that happens.

Personally I think he knows what studge brings to the party and instead should select ings and vardey to see how they do. But knowing uncle woy he will probably pick him and make him play full 90 mins

There is no point calling up Sturridge. Everyone knows what he brings to the squad. England have qualified so no urgent need. It would benefit England long-term if they let him carry on training and come back slowly. If Sturridge did get called up and he got injured again it would not be worth the blow-back on the FA and Roy. Sturridge needs to prove his long-term fitness plus Vardy and others should be given a chance.

He should be called up if he's fit, however he should be managed and after last time when Hodgson messed up, I'm sure he will have learned from that. It will do Daniel good to get some minutes, he's been out a long time.

Everyone gets injured at some point playing for England. Sturridge isn't some special case.
That said, he's only just come back from injury and there should be players ahead of him in the cue. He should be left out and allowed to get on with working his way to full fitness with Liverpool.
