Team for Saturday

Nothing less than a win is required here if England want to proceed in this tournament and so it is essential that Lancaster nails his starting XV to give England the greatest chance of winning. For me I'd go:

---------------------Brown-------------------------
--Nowell-----------------------------------May---
-----------Slade------------------------------------
--------------------Burgess------------------------
--------------------------------Farrell--------------
----------------------------------------B.Youngs--
----Wood----------Morgan-------Robshaw---
--------------Parling---------Lawes--------------
------Marler------T.Youngs--------Cole--------

Subs: Mako, George, Brookes, Launchbury, Haskell, Care, Ford, Watson

For me, there's no need for mass changes as for the duration of the game in which the starting XV played against Wales, England had a foothold on the game.

However, injury forces the hand at Number 8, meaning Morgan (Provided he's fit) has to come in. This aside, I'd leave the forwards alone.

In the backs I'd make two changes. The combination of Barritt and Burgess seemed like excessive bulk to me and stifled the back three's attacking ability. For that reason one has to go, and after two straight poor showings I'd plump for Barritt. Slade had a fantastic domestic season with Exeter, offers greater flair, looked great against France in the warm up game and offers an extra kicking boot. That makes him a MUST.

Nowell over Watson is more marginal, but I feel that Nowell is a better defender and will work harder around the pitch. This for me is vital as in Israel Folau, the Aussies have a player that will run at all angles, ably supported by his wingers.

In the subs I make three changes: George, Care and Watson for Webber, Wigglesworth and Goode.

George for me is a more exciting option of the bench at hooker and is arguably the form hooker across the squad yet has found himself behind Webber. With Webber having made little impact on Saturday, he finds his place in jeopardy.

Wigglesworth was a liability against Wales. We know that he kicks well but his poor positioning and lack of pace showed in Wales' try. In Danny Care I see a player who's more positive with ball in hand and offers a greater attacking threat as an individual.

Alex Goode is a solid player at Full back but for me offers little as an impact player. With Watson taken out for Nowell, it makes perfect sense to give him the final sub role, as he's capable of playing on either wing or at fullback. He also offers dynamic running and pace off the bench against tired, worn down sides which could be a gamechanger.

That's my view anyway, let me know who'd make it into your England XV!

Sadly my knowledge of this game is limited but I think that is a very salient point. Build on existing strengths.

I saw mention of the potential referee in the other thread. How about preparing for the ref and not giving away stoopid penalties!

Ok, so suggesting dropping Barritt and Watson (arguably two of our better players) wasn't my finest moment.

Listen mate, on the rugby board you have to step things up a level. You have to know what you're talking about. You're not dealing with hauf-wits like Curly and Leo here you know. All the guys on here â are on my level at least.
