Liverpool 1-1 Birmingham City
Aubameyang 84 (Costa); Cavani 20 (Toure)
MOTM: Garay
Wasn’t a fan of Liverpool’s system, Vidal wasted out on the left for me (even if LSTD claimed it was a narrow 4-4-2). Birmingham took the lead on 20 minutes, their 3-4-1-2 causing Liverpool problems and Cavani took advantage of a through ball from Yaya Toure, Cavani slotting past Courtois. LSTD made changes in the second half, moving Vidal central and Griezmann out wide, made a lot more sense and gave Liverpool more balance and eventually Aubameyang scored after Diego Costa’s initial shot was blocked by Nastasic into the path of Aubameyang who finished well.

Newcastle United 3-3 Portsmouth
Suarez 28 (Fabregas), Candreva 43 (Firmino), Sturridge 81 (Suarez); Martial 17 (Sterling), Costa 19 (Silva), Alves 57 (Silva)
MOTM: Silva
Easily the most entertaining game of the week with the attacking talent on show, both teams had match winners and a draw was the fairest outcome in the end. Portsmouth went 2-0 up with Martial and Douglas Costa scoring early, Newcastle fought back to 2-2 before the break with Suarez and Candreva scoring. Portsmouth led again through Dani Alves but Newcastle’s pressure told and Sturridge off the bench scored the equaliser. Both sides pushed for a late winner but neither could find another goal and the points are shared.

Hull City 1-1 Leicester City
Vietto 90+3 (pen); Bacca 61 (Di Maria)
Red card for Oblak 90+1
MOTM: Witsel
A close game, Bacca heading Leicester into the lead just after the hour after good work on the right between Carvajal and Di Maria, Di Maria crossing for Bacca to beat Reyes in the air. The game was heading to another frustrating finish for Hull until Calleri went clean through at the death, he took the ball past Oblak who could only catch Calleri’s leg and down he went. Oblak was shown the red card, and Rob Green went on for Banega. Green went the right way but couldn’t keep out Vietto’s spot kick, and it turned into frustration on the touchline as an angry Rof confronted the referee at the final whistle.

Stoke City 1-2 Southampton
Yilmaz 49 (Valbuena); Hamsik 25 (FK), Adriano 77 (Cheryshev)
MOTM: De Rossi
I feel Stoke didn’t put the same into it tactically, although this still wouldn’t have been enough to cost them the game, would have been another draw but the slots came out with an away win. Southampton took the lead on 25 minutes with a Hamsik freekick after Navas was fouled 20 yards out. Stoke equalised early in the second half as Yilmaz headed in a Valbuena corner, leaving Southampton fans bemoaning their defensive frailties. Both sides made changes, and just as the game looked to be heading for a draw, it was the substitutes for Southampton who linked up to win the game for the Saints, as Cheryshev crossed in and Adriano was able to stab the ball home from 6 yards to give Southampton a big win.

Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal
Aguero 52 (Neymar), De Bruyne 80 (Neymar); Ronaldo 37 (Rakitic), Ronaldo 59 (Modric)
MOTM: Ronaldo
A close game between two title contenders, a draw came up and it was probably fairest. Arsenal struck first when Ronaldo controlled a through ball from Rakitic and his shot was deflected off of Bonucci past De Gea. Into the second half and the Chelsea pressure told as Neymar was released on the left by Pogba, Neymar cut inside to shoot but found Aguero unmarked and Aguero finished with aplomb into the top corner. The sucker punch came only 7 minutes later when Ronaldo took advantage of a Modric cross to rise above Darmian at the back post and head Arsenal back in front. Both sides made changes as Chelsea tried to get back into the game and Arsenal tried to hold on, but the equaliser eventually came as Neymar dribbled infield, passed to De Bruyne who drilled his shot into the bottom corner past the despairing dive of Hart. Both sides hit the woodwork late on as James Rodriguez curled a shot onto the outside of the post and Aguero had a shot tipped onto the bar by Joe Hart.

Everton 1-2 Aston Villa
van Persie (D.Suarez) ; Reus (Hazard), Hazard (Koke)
Aston Villa pressed high up the pitch, controllIing the majority of the game, when Everton did enjoy good spells of possession attacks too often broke down and RVP didn’t always get the support he needed. Villa's quality in the final third shone through in the end.
Manchester United 3-2 Wolves
Pedro (Mata), Mata, Lukaku (Turan) ; Giroud (Lucas), Coutinho
Tino’s homecoming to Wolves didn’t end as planned, with United coming out on top of the midfield battle allowing them to fire ahead. The game finished with Utd running the clock down as they struggled to hang on to their slender lead in this free scoring game.

Shame Everton lost but not really a surprise with Reus and Hazard against me!
