Now I find this theory interesting

Former England manager Capello isn't surprised by Chelsea's troubles, claiming the Portuguese has mentally exhausted his squad.

'Mourinho is a strategist. He, in this difficult time, asked the club to side with him or against him,' said the Italian.

'And the club has made a statement defending across the board.

'Mourinho is a great coach, but after a year-and-a-half, the players are burned. His men are mentally no longer able to give what he wants.

'The cycles of Mourinho last more or less this time.'

Jose's major fault , seems to be lack of squad rotation, perhaps this has given people the reason to think that players are exhausted mentally and physically.Myself, I go along with TCPs theory that they are supposed to be athletes ,and for 90 minutes on a Saturday ,they should be able to get their sheet together !

Biggish, it's an interesting idea and it may well have some legs, but I just don't know. Call me old fashioned but I can't quite relate to a group of famous high-profile individuals who have an envious lifestyle and get very well paid, for doing something that a lot of us would do for fun, being "Mentally exhausted" even if their boss is highly demanding.

I want to run past you a couple of other theories that may have crossed my mind with regard to this current situation. I think that Eva may have been very popular with all the staff and the players (including Ivanovic ) and there is resentment in the squad about his treatment of her. My boss at work has allegedly heard that Jose is hated around the training ground by one and all. One of my mates who I go with is firmly of the opinion that they are deliberately playing like this to get him sacked because either they don't like him or they are lazy and afraid of the hard work that inevitably comes with being in a Mourinho team and him just extending his deal means that they have got him, results aside for the next few years.

Or another mate of mine thinks that maybe the problem is more tactically fundamental than that. We play with a left back who is right footed, the midfielders in front of him (Hazard, William, Oscar etc.) are also right footed, so inevitably all will tend to cut inside onto their favoured foot which tends to lead to no service coming from out wide on the left. You move across to the other flank and you have a full back who for me has always had a tendency for his crosses to not even beat the first defender, which combined to the fact that he is performing very poorly at the moment means that service from the right is also very restricted. This makes us very narrow as a team which tries to bulldoze it's way through the congested middle and when combined with the slow tempo we seem to play with when coming out from the back makes us very predictable and easy to deal with. Last year we got the jump on teams because they hadn't worked it out but now they have and we don't seem to have come up with a plan B as yet.

I don't honestly know if any of these theories have any substance but one thing I do know is that this is not a blip. There is something very wrong behind the scenes for a capable team to suddenly become so incapable, but as to what it is, your guess is as good as mine.

I think his treatment of the medical staff has cost him some respect from the players, but I doubt he is hated. I subscribe to the weakness in our full backs theory. We offer no threat from out wide and as a result it is easy to defend agst us.

The problem is that the opposition XI are athletes too, so frankly the issue lies much deeper than this

Given how jose got JT playing at the standard he did last term...which was back to as good as JT has ever been...there is validity in this theory

Surely Jose himself, will take this as a form of disrespect?

Why should Jose get respect? Look at his behaviour, he might be successful but he's the most disrespectful manager out there.
