I have to say I was quite disappointed on Sunday when I found out Rodgers got sacked. I think a lot has gone on behind closed doors that nobody knows about which went against him transfer wise. Now just a quick question, can Klopp actually be considered an improvement on the Northern Irishman? Let's look at last season for both of them. Rodgers had no fit striker all year (Balotelli doesn't count as he's a fraud) and challenged for fourth place as well as two cup finals. Klopp, on the other hand fought relegation with a really strong side and failed in the CL as well. Before anyone talks about his title wins at Dortmund, open your eyes as he had great teams back then. Nobody can tell me Rodgers wouldn't have achieved the same if not more with the teams Klopp had.

I thought Dortmund finished in 13th the season before Klopp became manager? Hardly the sign of a great team.

But when Klopp won titles at Dortmund he already had a great team in place, like Guardiola at Barca anyone could have managed them and won trophies so how is he good?

A great team he built. Almost from scratch really. Didn't Dortmund have serious financial problems when he came in too?

Yup,
Shameless kings comments are the usual badly researched drivel he normally trots out.

Hold on a minute. Dortmund went from 2nd to 7th in two seasons and everyone praises Klopp just because he recovered them from 20th and excuses him because he lost lewandowski. But other managers have lost big players and still qualified for the CL, and when other managers have suffered a similar decline to dortmund they have been correctly criticised and laughed at

Chelsea should sack Mourinho and make Pedro player-manager.

I agree with theWhiteWall. There's no way that Klopp is actually joining Liverpool. He's just using them to force Bayern's hand and get them to commit to signing him up after Pep leaves

You are brilliant

I don't think it's a question of what a manager did last season.
It's not really a science, the owners have to make a call on whether the current manager is still making progress, and you have to admit that at the very least, the jury was still out on that: winning 5 out of 20+ games, and 1 of the last 9, is going to put you under pressure at any club.
Whether or not Klippity is the answer is also not a science, but they have to make a call on it, and he appears to be very highly rated in Germany, and people like Beckenbauer and Matthaus have also expressed the opinion that he's a good fit for Liverpool.
I wasn't BR's biggest fan, but nor was I calling for his head, but his form over the last 20-30 games wasn't doing him any favours, and that's just the reality of it.
His form in Europe was never good, at any point during his tenure. I'm struggling to recall any games when we played well in Europe, and we weren't exactly playing the elite.
Who knows if Klippity will be a success?
But he seems quite charismatic, so it should be entertaining, and sometimes, a change just freshens things up anyway.
BR showed signs of being a very good tactician, but I sometimes think you can overload players with information. Matches for them consist of a rapid succession of split-second decisions, so if you change things too much, it can take a long time before it all becomes instinctive to the players.
