Well I played the Beta and it was pretty good when you actually managed to get in a game...I also managed to kill Vader on Hoth so he isn't all that. No force strangulation for me

Played the beta last night.....terribley boring.horde mode was really poor....very very poor. Multiplayer is shocking . It just felt like a really old shooter. Sounds and graphics tho are very impressive. Buddy mode sucks monkey balls. Walker mode can be so easily exploited. Xwing controls are dumbed right down. Ie u push left or up and it will throw in a barrel roll automatically sometimes for no reason ie u cant manually do u own manouvres....

sucks big bad hairy bawz!!dice..ur credibilty gonna take a hammerin. People will buy it and be bored in a week...just trust me guys!!

The more I'm hearing of this game the more I'm thinking it's gonna flop .

I thought the beta was alright, always tough to judge a game when you only have access to like 2 levels.

Couldn't quite put my finger on what was missing, though. Remember spending many hours on both the games on PS2 and just enjoying battle and battle, not achieving anything specific.

Maybe gaming just moved on?

I agree Chris, the game isn't not fun, but there is something missing that will mean I prob wouldn't play it that much. I get the feeling though that this is for casual gamers, it seems to be battlefield light, I would like some more ideas of what cards (perks) you can get as this is the only thing for me that could mix it up as ultimately the lack of choice is what will break this game

Wait for this guys ...... there is no lobby browser, yup you cannot choose the server you wanna join now some of you may think that this isnt really a game breaker. Well let me open your eyes, as I already said before on this there is no part.clan or group join. You have the buddy system meaning you can team up with 1 person only. Now this is bad in itself as I am a clan/team player big time but when you now also couple it with the fact that you cannot slecet or choose the game/server you wanna join its virtually impossible to play with your friends, yup thats right you can only play with 1 friend on this ! cannot join up with the rest of your mates just gotta pray that you someone luck into the same lobby.

All games will be matchmade according to skill level, ie you never choose who you play with or choose a server or anything like that.

This game is 100% being made for the casual gamers its a bloody joke.

I made an article ages ago on here about this upon finding out some info on it then and it actually appears it might be worse than i first feared.

EA go get AIDS ! bloody joke how can they mess up to amazing franchises in Battlefield and Star Wars, sorry but with the subject material of Star Wars and the brains of Dice this shoulda been a walk in the park, a stroll to make an awesome game, but NO EA come in and say get this made in 9 months, do it with this amount of money and we want these features to make sure 5 yr olds can still enjoy it. Then when the game is finished you know fine well EA will look at it and decide what they can leave out and sell to us at a later date .... ARRRRRGGGGHHHHH !!!!!!

Not really the biggest issue for me as I don't play plan in parties/clans but seems a pretty core thing to a multiplayer shooter

tell me about it Chris ! it was shown on PC that games are defo matchmade thro skill level, and no server browser will be available. When the devs were questioned about it they kinda stuttered and then said they wont be answering questions about it. Which is NEVER a good thing. Granted i havent seen the interview or that im going on info i was passed but the source is very reliable (well he hasnt been wrong about much at all so far) again I did call most of the things in my other article i did about 3/4 months ago. So much that i was informed of has come to fruition sadly

In the Beta I managed to join a game as a party of 3...Not saying you are wrong Delboy (and there are a few reasons to hammer this game!) but I think you are confusing the 2 levels of party.

You can have a party which is like joining your friends (we had 3 of us) and you can join a game as a party etc. as normal.

You then have a squad (which is max 2 people). What this means is that you can spawn at your squad member instead of where you would normally. For us it meant I was in a squad with a random person from the game but my 2 friends were in a squad together.
