I can't seem to work out where 24 teams are that qualify for Euro 2016. There are 9 qualifying groups (8 have 6 teams in them and one with 5) The top 2 automatically qualify so that's 18 teams there. Then the 3rd place teams from the 8 groups with 6 teams will play a play off. So that would be 8 teams, 4 matches with 4 teams qualifying and 4 teams going out. That gives you 22 teams that would have qualified plus the hosts France which makes it 23. Where is the 24th team? have I missed something out!
