Just been confirmed that he will be captaining England tomorrow. He's done it before (Honduras) but this will be the first time he starts as captain.
He is also the first Everton player to start as captain for England. Ball, Lineker and Rooney have all done it after leaving efc.
He's certainly deserved this imo, as current English centre backs go only Smalling and Stones can currently match him in terms of both form and ability. He's also now one of the more senior players in the squad.

Barry cut out the space the little brazillian lad would use and Jagielka kept Sturridge quiet. He looked as if he(sturridge) was trying to do it all alone, was very greedy that day.
