Team for the Everton game?

Everton away will be tough. IMO they were our hardest opponents last season. We got battered at their place and needed a near miraculous performance from DDG to get a win at OT. I recently watched the highlights of that game. He was godlike.

Anyway, this would be my team for the game..

DDG
Darmian Smalling Jones Blind
Carrick Morgan
Mata Rooney Young
Martial

Depay has been very very poor and should be rested for a while (he's complained about the pace of the game since he's arrived) and Young deserves a shot. Obviously Rooney should also be dropped for Herrera but I can't see it happening.

Anyone (apart from Madrid we Win) disagree with that side?

Rooney usually saves his worst performance of the season for Everton so this should be good. Don't think he'll bother moving faster than a gentle jogging pace at any point in the game and will be the last player out of our own penalty area when we're in need of a rapid counter-attack from corners.

So guys are you getting fed up with Depay's performance so far? Should he warm the bench for few games?

Maybe because he's been completely useless against sides he supposedly does well against means he will have a blinder against Everton. Bizarro Rooney if you like.

Of course that isn't going to happen at all and we are gonna continue to scratching our heads as to why Rooney continues to play.

Bizarro Rooney has a doctorate from Cambridge and fancies women under the age of 21

When we bought exciting new players when Ferguson was in charge he'd annoy me by not playing them in the first game and then we'd see them come in over the following few months and earn a starting place due to their ability or because another player would pick up an injury. LVG stuck Depay in from the start and he's not really progressed but if he benches him then that'll dent his confidence and if he persists with him then he could regress even further because he can think that he's undroppable. Nice one.

I imagine this version to be a big fan of the music of Dream Theatre and the movies of Wes Anderson

with Blind as LB w/Young as LW, we won't get too exposed against Everton's right flank. Memphis needs a rest anyway, Young puts in a proper shift and WILL defend. Jones needs to step up, I also hope we find a starting spot for Schweiney, what a player!

I'd like to see us go with

------------------- Howard
Coleman - stones - jags - Galloway
Deulofeu - McCarthy - Barry - Naismith
--------------------- Barkley
--------------------- Lukaku

Should be a good game, I'm predicting 3-1 to us

Been impressed with Martial on the inside left, for France... We know Rooney ain't getting dropped, so this is the next best line up for a tough away game.
