Is it me or do more players seem to be getting these injuries these days.
Is it training methods diets?
Liverpool have suffered two in two days "a speedy recovery to the lads"
And Tim Krull too.
A shame seeing players get injuries that ruin their seasons "Luke shaw as well"
Let's hope they all make full recoveries

Possibly a boots issue?
Like when blades snapped Metatarsals for fun around 2002.

Liverpool had the same problem a few years ago.
Eva kept the Chelsea squad almost injury free last season, they were mad to sack her.

I hear the players were sacking her. That was the problem...

Possibly a boots issue, not enough padding? Not firm enough?

Booobs or boots?

In my experience, the blades give so much more grip than the traditional 6 stud boots. Once they're in ground, they have very limited slip. So if you're knocked over in such a manner that you're all akimbo, your joints are the weakest point.
Also, in the race to produce the lightest boots available, the materials used are very much thinner than the traditional kangaroo leather. I would tend to believe that there will be a loss of shock absorbency, however small, that would be a factor for metatarsal injuries. Though I'm not a football boots scientist.
