They've been subjected to some hard times ever since Fergie left. So I guess this a bit of good amongst it all.
But why are they acting like they got one over everyone? Or that they got him for cheap?
The guy was bought at a similar price as players like Sanchez and Hazard and he hasn't had the same impact.
The guy is clearly a decent young player. But is he really that special? Nowhere near the level these guys think he's at.
And they're in for a shock when he fizzles out.
Martial Hype Is OTT

How do you know he's not worth the money they paid for him? United paid £30M for Rooney at a similar age and over time he's obviously proved to be worth every penny so if Martial has a similar career he will clearly be worth it.

Kind of agree with OP, media hype is OTT, Martial is still a kid, I hope there won't be a backlash of similar magnitude when he inevitably goes through a lean patch

"1st Smalling now Martial"
Yes. Because Smalling has proven me wrong by turning into Rio Ferdinand.

He looks the real deal to me. Quite envious that United have got such a player.

How can people say whether he's worth the money or not. He was bought at 19 as a long term investment. They are not just paying for his current ability but for his potential.

The Martial hype is about right, he's a special talent. Utd overpaid thats not really his fault.
