RIP Howard Kendall

I remember him as a very good manager who was quite a big name when I started watching football. He won the title with Everton a couple of times! And trophies in Europe with them. He was the last English manager to win a European trophy as manager of an English club.

Sad to see he's passed away.

Great footballer, very good manager & a truly nice person.

He was only four years older than myself & it is too young to go!

Class manager back in the 80s will be missed.

Howard came to us, at Birmingham, when big Bob Latchford went to Goodison and gave us 3 years of his career. Great player and a great professional. Sadly missed.

Watched him on TV in the PNE v WHU Cup Final. Same age as me but I remember the fuss about him being the youngest ever Cup Final player. RIP

A true club legend, in the days when the title legend is given out to easily. R.I.P. Howard

Like Lawro said earlier, shame his side wasn't allowed to compete in Europe because of heysel, I remember that Everton side, a very good side it was too
