Anyone got one on the go?

I’ve been thinking about sitting down with the missus and putting one of these together. Mostly inspired by having a son recently as I’d like to share a lot of experiences with him. Also, there’s the less romantic and idealistic things, such as food or drink I want to scoff.


There’s a few things I’d like to do, some more attainable and a little more achievable than others.


1. Start hiking. Fairly straight forward. See a hill…..walk up it.
2. Travel to the southern hemisphere. Never been there. Would also like to be able to visit the in-laws
3. Learn a new language. Specifically Indonesian. Been with the wife for 11 years now. All I can do is ask for a beer and food in indo, as well as say good morning. Some might find that a blessing that their mother in law lives 13000 miles away and can’t communicate with you though….
4. See Northern Ireland at a major finals. All set for next summer…..except, for reasons I’m not getting into, it’s just not likely to happen. I’ll wait for the 2034 world cup.
5. See Liverpool win the league again
6. Learn to ski or snowboard
7. Break 80 in golf
8. Whisper it quietly, but another kid would be nice
9. Eat an Ortolan
10. Maybe a turducken too
11. Take a tour of the Cognac and Armagnac regions of France and taste a ton of the stuff

That’s about as far as I’ve got. Anyone? Please not a list of fecking swimming with the dolphins and visiting macho Pichu if you don;t mind.
