Huddersfield Town 1 v 2 Derby County

Sky Bet Championship Sat 24 October 2015 3pm kick off
John Smith's Stadium

Town take on stiffer opposition, this Saturday, by the way of the Rams. If Derby gift two goals like the MK Dons did on Tuesday evening, then Christmas will surely have come early! We know that will not happen, so the question again is, where are the goals going to come from? "Town scored twice on Tuesday night LV69!", I hear you say, but they were not crafted by the boot of a Town player were they?

Now, Miller has had some stick and rightfully so, but I thought his work rate against the Dons was very impressive. He looked quick and strong and looked to place fear in to the Dons defence. Granted, I only saw what I saw on the match highlights, he came across very well. I still think Mr Powell will introduce Bojaj, but at the start of the match, who knows? I believe Derby are quite physical, so I envisage Mr Powell sticking with Miller for the time being.

This brings us on to Wells, yes he scored on Tuesday night, but he is too lightweight and will get knocked off the ball on many occasions. Does Mr Powell go with Bunn? He is stronger than Wells and is a good player and he can score goals too. What will happen to Wells' confidence if he is dropped, surely he must think a starting place is in the bag.

Scannell seemed to played well, the occasion he dinked the ball around the Dons defender was magic. By the time the defender put his leg out, Scannell was already around him making his aspirations towards the goal! More please Scanz, more.

The defence appears to be more solid, talk is that Hudson being back in action and Jed Steer making great saves has helped. What do you think?

Prediction time, now then, I have a triple twinge, ever so slightly more confident feeling about this one! If Town can stand firm at the back, then Wells, Paterson or even Bojaj can settle the game by the only goal.

It's a one nil to Town from me! UTT!

IF Powell goes, who would you want?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Us

I'm the gaffer, Wethers and Hydy are my assistants, Waltz is in charge of post match "refreshments", LV is our international scouting network, and UTG....well, Canalside has a kitchen

Missed everything yesterday but didn't expect us to get anything. Still a bit early to see where we're likely to finish this season....but I don't think we'll get relegated.

I can't see Chris Powell going, he's doing a reasonable job with a very limited budget. However, I am interested in the international scout post, where do I apply? 😉

Cheeky, Champers. Me and kitchens are not compatible, ask any of my family

Powell is 25/1 for the Charlton job.

As long as it comes with a company car, I'm in for the assistant job
