I used to play football, only as a keeper, and only then cus I was fat and lazy, but still... I played. I wasn't much of a shot stopper but I was happy to 'command' my area with harsh words, well at least when the defence was there which wasn't often considering we were playing on the school field at lunch and everyone wanted to be in attack. Come to think of it the opposition never had a keeper of their own, but I digress, the reality is with this experience my opinions are clearly right, if not in fact gospel.
So my take on it is simple... why would we possibly want Ronaldo in the team when he's clearly 10 times better looking than Vardy and half the footballer to boot. We don't need him making the WAGs jealous while offering no more than his rather 1 dimensional playing style. I mean on the one hand we have Vardy, a small ox of a man who can attack, defend, create chances and add pace while all the while motivating and inspiring those around him. On the other hand we have a one trick pony in Ronaldo... it's all about the scoring... after that all you have is the slightly increased female fan base. If Ronaldo's goals dry up what are we left with? No it would be a terrible swap and a swap that would see us relegated for sure. Why people can't see the truth is beyond me.

I agree with Ace. This should not be on the Spurs board, or any board for that matter; not when it's bleeding obvious that Vardy is above Ronaldo in all aspects of footballing capability.

One thing is for certain, we have a better attack!!
I don't know how much we'd sell Vardy for but hopefully he's just not for sale! It's not like having £100m would really help us out because £100m isn't much for our owners, small change when you're a multi-billionaire. If they wanted to chuck £100m in they could because FFP actually allows you to spend three times as much as your income and players aren't balanced on the books, they're classed as assets. Massive loophole.
The point is, if they wanted to spend the money they could but to replace Vardy, we now have to be looking at someone in the next level of strikers, who won't want to come to Leicester because we're not a big club.
He would be extremely difficult to replace and its not my money so I wouldn't sell him.

I actually like Vardy a lot, I do admire a player that works his way up the pyramid and hasn't had it served on a plate.
There is a snobbishness directed at players like him - Austin similarly. I would take him all day at Spurs, but I think Ronaldo would just nudge it if I had to choose
