Where's your limit?

I see a lot of fans on the board saying we should give Jose the entire season to turn things around. But I'm just wondering at what point would you turn around and say:

"Okay, I know we wanted to give him a whole season but these results are atrocious - he needs to go"

Would it take:

Getting knocked out of Europe altogether (Champs group stages and Europa 1st knockout round)?

Still be hovering around PL bottom 5 in January?

Improve to mid-table by January but our style of play remains turgid, conservative and we're still mainly scoring from set-pieces?

Improve to mid-table by January but Jose's media antics get worse?

Where would you guys draw the line?

I feel he deserves the season (if he behaves) but i don't think he will improve our football even if he does improve our results..............If he got `sacked tomorrow i would not be bothered...........last time he was sacked i was totally gutted.

I am actually not that bothered about the results.....what bothers me is that tactically he has it wrong, yes the players are letting him down no doubt, but when you analyse that first 45 minutes today, we are at home, we are playing a very average Liverpool team, we score an early goal and then we pull up the feckin drawbridge.....WTF????????

It wasn't bothering you guys when it was getting results. But as fans it will get tedious.

The football that was getting results was so much better than this and so were the tactics..

It's strange.
Can't pinpoint one single thing to put the blame on but Jose is definitely not helping with his interviews and tactics

Personally, I hope the Roman gives him at least until the end of season to turn it around. I think he has earned the right. Hopefully he will have learned from this experience.

Yep. Deep-down I want him to fix this

Yup - I can take the results for the most part. Like if we missed out on CL footy it wouldn't be the end of the world but two things I can't accept are Jose's media antics and tactics/team selection.

With every passing controversy our club's name gets dragged through the gutter. This Eva issue could have all been sorted if he had just apologised for his behaviour towards the physios in the post-match interview. The way he behaves is just so unnecessary. It can be funny sometimes but it's mostly just distracting.

Onto the tactics. We need to stop playing so conservatively! It's killing me inside as a Chelsea fan not being able to enjoy watching my team play. We look ponderous, slow-paced, predictable and incoherent in attack. We have the players to be playing a much better style of football but Jose seems to force them play with the handbrake on. It's frustrating as hell and I think we're starting to see that show in some of the more creative players in the side.

With regard to youth... Just bloody play them!! We're doing so badly now that we literally could not get any worse if we started blooding more youth. Jose has had the complete backing of the board for his entire tenure. He has the perfect environment for a manager wanting to play youth. Jose talks such a big game but never produces. I feel he's wasting the best generation of youth players that Chelsea have ever had.

As such, if Jose can sort out any of the above issues then I'm all for him staying (even if we miss out on the top 4) but if he can't show signs of not only developing the team but also developing as a person then I'll be the first one to call for his head.

Yep minididi. My thoughts too. I just wana see some passes between our players that arent misplaced or intercepted. Even if they're just passing it around at the back between Begovic Terry Cahill and Mikel.

For a team with the Biggest Bellies our Players are Gutless

The real test for all leaders is when things go wrong.
Robert the Bruce who was inspired by a spider, for example. We will have to see how Jose reacts to the situation. If he is truly a leader and dedicated to Chelsea (not self as some would charge), he will have to produce some magic, something special from within. And he needs to show it now. His priority will be with the players but at some point he needs to give us (dwindling) fans who still support him some sign of hope and that he is up for it.
