You do raise a very good point , exactly where are after two years , and four months into the third season.

Up 5 bb otter sreet if we are going to be honest.

If you had asked me where would be at this point in time when Jose was brought I would have strongly suggested we would us a a balanced quality squad ready to challenge in Europe & mounting a strong title challenge nt a defence.

I wold have also said Jose would be well settled into his role as one the worlds most experienced accomplished managers , a new matured elder statesman of the game.

We seem to be far from all these thing which is worrying,

As you know I believe we should support the manager and in turn support the club.

I do also feel both can get it wrong , and it's abundantly clear some thing is wrong.

Where the responsibility lies I suspect it's between the two.

Going forward it would be total bull if Jose ran for the exit door at the first serious problem and likewise if the club sacked him.

But as you mentioned in an earlier article some things can get stretched so far that they never got back the same .

Unless you know the complete story I think it's a stab in the dark whether to sack him or let him ride it out.

I truly hope it's the latter.

Yes I think we need a serious strengthening of the squad.

What are your expectations of how the squad has been built in the time Jose has been here?
It's been decent but I expected (hoped for) more youth considering the level of backing the club has given Jose. He is literally under the least pressure of any Chelsea manager that has gone before him and has one of the best youth systems in Europe at his disposal. It's absolutely outrageous that he hasn't done more to make any youth players a real part of the squad.
