So im gonna get it out there straight away I want Jose to stay but although part of that may be out of misguided loyalty, sympathy, emotional whatever you want to call it there are practical reasons for him to stay.
For all those who want Jose out who do you want to replace him? Someone who is available now. There are not many viable options and the main ones being touted about are Ancelotti, Hiddink, Rodgers and AVB. So out of those 3 of them have already managed us! Would any of them actually come back I think it is highly unlikely. So that leaves Rodgers - really? Over Jose? Not a chance in hell for me!
So if that takes us to the end of the season and it has been unsuccessful (which is very likely but not definite as we have a lot of games yet to play) then the choices are bring in someone new or stick with Jose. If we bring in someone new then they will most likely be given lots of money to build their own team so why not give that to Jose? If reports are true (and so many of you seem to love the media and whatever is written in as gospel) then Jose wanted to buy about half of the footballing world so if he was actually given some money to buy who he wanted then maybe he could be judged differently.

Who really is a viable option?

There are a desperate lack of options and that's the problem, certainly if we're talking about anyone that can come in before next summer anyway.
