Anyone downloaded the beta yet? What team did you start with? What are your thoughts?
I've been playing all weekend and I am really enjoying the game. Theres so much detail. And for stat buffs like myself there's endless hours of prozone data. I also like how the scout reports come through.
I've taken over at Liverpool in the hope of bringing the glory days back to Anfield. It's going to be tough. Im only at the end of August and I've injuries to several key players - Migs, Sakho, Firmino. I've won two and lost one in the league. Got done bad by City. Lost 4-0. Hoping to unearth a gem before the window closes and develop them over the season.
Anyone else any stories or tips?

Haven't done so yet. Just finishing off my final season on 15 which I'll do so in the next week or so before release date. Need to screenshot/save all my tactics and player instructions in preparation.
Will start with Spurs as usual, will no doubt have a job on my hands shifting the deadwood so I can sign Tielemans again

I didnt bother with 15 cos of the injury bug it had were injuries would be far too often and I couldnt be bothered putting in the patch that basically sets all players to minimum injury proness to fix it.
Has it been fixed for this generation ?

I tend to buy the game every other year so I didn't have FM15.
This one has actually been really bad for injuries. I tweeted Miles Jacobsen to tell him to sort it out as I had 12 injured players in my first team squad and it wasn't even at the end of September in the game. My bench consists of almost all youth players at the moment.
He actually replied to say that I'm either really unlucky or training my players too hard.

So after 2 and half years of cold turkey I succumbed on Sunday night and bought it.
And for my sins I decided to go Aston Villa.
£0 transfer budget. Hardly anything in the wage budget.
Opening PL fixtures
Chelsea (a)
Man Utd (h)
Liverpool (a)
Spurs (h)
Palace (a)
Man City (a)
So my question is - for when I get sacked and start a new game - where is the fricking editor

How much/how long have you done the fitness training for? On 15, if you did it for too long or at too high an intensity they'd suffer injuries a lot more than previous editions. I'd normally do high fitness training from whenever I started pre-season up until around 1st August, at which point I'd drop it to average.
