Derby County 1 - 0 QPR

Funny seeing us play QPR, thing is we’ve stuck to the rules, perhaps naively, they don’t, win at Wembley and pick up a season on the Premier League and still appear to escape sanction. Other clubs have been hit with transfer embargoes and the restrictions they bring. QPR knew fully what they were doing but in common with West Ham seem to escape censure. West Ham should have been relegated. QPR should be demoted. I’ll let you work out what links these two clubs.

Derby are looking strong and now it is teams that fear us. My fear is complacency – always a Derby County trait and we need to keep the momentum going. Several players look and are playing in a very confident way and once we get up a head of steam, we are unplayable.

Then I think of the Leeds game.

Thorne will out for the QPR game and I would like to see Hansen be given the chance for that holding role. Failing that, stick BJ there and bring Hendrick in….with a cameo for CB4 when we are comfortable. Otherwise, keep it unchanged.

QPR, by foul means are still breathing and can always cause an upset (!!??!!). Still, if you sustain yourselves on crowds of < 19,000 and pay big wages and still get away with it……well. Why not?
(Sorry, this is so early, I have so many commitments tomorrow and for the first time in YEARS I will going to the match on my own…).
