Annual reults..

King made his declaration against sports direct and requesting season ticket boycott before the start of last season, and as far as I'm aware it had an immediate effect on merchandise and ticket sales.
Personally I would like to know what profit SD made on it and what the volume of sales was. I would like to know what similar clubs would make (after costs on the same volume of sales, rangers have no costs due to SD deal) of course we can't find this out due to the embargo SD applied for, meaning it probably is indeed rubbish.
I would still rather know facts rather than rumours. It does need sorted out though. Fans are not buying and that's good for neither party

Super....have a look at my previous post .Its based on us getting 75p for every £10 . If correct, SD will have received £1.13m to our 87K !!!!

STV are saying you need £2.5m to get to the end of the season.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Ivan, I'm surprised it's so little ! £2.5m plus whatever the manager gets in January ! No doubt January will be important for King and those who have pledged money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember coop we have sold much more season tickets at a higher price.
I can't imagine that the replacement players are on even close to the amount of mcculloch, Boyd, Miller, foster, etc etc.
We were paying silly money to a procession of directors and pay offs to old ones.
That thankfully has all stopped. I have full confidence that the current regime is here for the longhaul and will actually be able to put a plan in place
I think we will be getting much closer to break even. By the next results so 2.5 ain't a big shock

Not really true as I have said many times. SD bear all the costs. Manufacturing or purchasing, distribution, storage, retail, advertising.
Obviously this was biting us in the bum as we had to buy unsold stock but apparently it's not true that SD set the order amounts. It's rangers that do that.

Super....I agree. But, re merchandising , any boycott is denying the 7.5p in the pound , sure ! But, it's denying SD 92.5p in the pound !

Sorry, I jumped the gun there. Even after the costs you mention, SD loses more than Rangers.....way more !

It's only not good for SD, our income from it is peanuts any how, but these figures are till June 2015 the period when new replica shirts are bought

It was confirmed last night that buying the old stock happened once and it was Charles green who ordered a mountain of stock and had to buy it back, that scenario will never rise again

Good that was a horrible scenario if SD controlled the stock order.
Still I'm not sure what we are basing the rangers get peanuts argument on? So we get 7.5% pure profit with no risk or infrastructure costs?
Again what do other clubs get once you take off all costs?
SD are supposed to get 50% so that means a profit margin of 15% on each shirt/merchandise item after all costs.
Is that so unrealistic? If the profit margin is higher than 15% on sports goods then why did so many sports retailers go bust?

"The club now has a management structure in place that understands and accepts that playing in the SPFL Premiership next season is a “non-negotiable”. The team has been significantly improved to meet this challenge and plans are already in place to ensure that further improvements will be in place before the start of the 2016/2017 season."
So what happens if we don't go up...are we fcked??
