Anyone else find McClarens moaning embarrassing? Not that I disagree with him. The man worked hard and did very well to restore his reputation, doing great things in Holland. He then turns down more money from abroad to come to us.
To me that suggests he was promised the funds to compete at the top of this league. We've spent £2m in fees after letting quite a few go from an already small squad. Hardly the sort of backing a former England manager and the only English man to win a top European league for 20 odd years is going to be dreaming about.
We've brought him in under false-pretenses and NDs made us a laughing stock. So well done MR D another great chapter in reign at forest.
Now we wait for the "we wouldn't have a club without him" brigade. Or even better the " he's wasted loads of money, what a chairman" crew
Embarrassing

I think it's a bit worrying and this could be an interesting 12 hours. The guy left England to rebuild his reputation which he's slowly managed to do away from the media spotlight. The last thing he needs is to come back to England and fail miserably. I think if things don’t start to improve, both his relationship with the boardroom and results / performances on the pitch, he could just walk away. His reputation can’t afford another hammering and it's concerning that the blame game seems to have started already.

I'm more embarrassed with the AP's lack of action than I am with McClaren's comments.
It seems pretty obvious to me that McClaren was promised things he is not getting. I don't think we will sign anyone else today, but I think we'll get some good loans in soon.
I think Doughty and the AP are convinced we can achieve promotion like Blackpool, Swansea, and Norwich did....on the cheap.
