Australia vs NZ starts at midnight.
India vs South Africa starts at 4am.
Since both matches are starting tomorrow, thought I'd start a new thread for them.
Will the Kiwis swashbuckling style overcome the arrogant, sledging kings?
Can India somehow compete with the best side in the world?
Australia are a mix between inexperienced players and some top players. Some Ashes failures in there and an odd call to have Peter Siddle as 12th man.
The Kiwis have as good a chance of winning this series as they've ever had in recent times. They've got some good swingers/seamers and in Kane Williamson, one of the best batsmen in the world.
The Indians were hammered in the last ODI. Will that prey on their minds or can they move on? Seems like they'll be playing 3 specialist spinners and have a solid, if not spectacular, batting line up.
South Africa aren't the best team in world cricket for nothing. They have players with the x-factor such as AB and Steyn as well as other very good players in Amla, Faf, Morkel and Philander.
Two very intriguing series ahead of us. Enjoy.
Please stick to the topic.

The rain in 2nd test has saved SA from being whitewashed.

India have won this series quite comfortably, but tbh I think their batting has been very poor. They have struggled against SA part time spinners.
The scoreline might well read 3-0 at the end of the series but imo I don't have think this series will be regarded as historic. If one team has been very poor then the other has been mediocre at best.
Ps India are scheduled to play 15 tests at home in the next 1 year. That might well be enough for India to be ranked no.1.

I expect India to be ranked no.1 test team very soon, just because of their home form. If they had won this series 4-0, they would have been on 112 points, the same as South Africa.

Tbh can't complain really. It's not like we tons of teams doing well away from home to claim that they deserve to be the true no.1 team.
Next year we are scheduled to play 5 tests against England. That would be historic, given India are not going to back away from producing spinning tracks

Won't SA improve there status if they beat England at home?

Most teams will struggle in India if the play on pitches like one in Nagpur. parts of the pitch was being disturbed most of the time when the ball landed.. just shows you how dry the pitch was.. very difficult to bat fluently..

the only wsy you can best this indian tean is have a good spin attack. indian batsmen are quite poor when it comes to playing spin these days.

Australia are very strong at home. NZ batted very well in the series. It was their bowling that let them down..
Apart from Boult.. The rest didn't do much..

Terrible tactics from SA to block all game. Was never going to work. They were sitting ducks. Amla needs to resign as skipper. Very poorly lead.
