I'm a huge fan of Can's and I'm delighted he's playing more in his natural position. His performance yesterday was shambolic to say the least. He practically gifted Palace their opening goal.
We all know him to be a better player, so what is it with him?. Is it the position? Is it the expectation (he seems to be trying too hard), Is it complacency?. It wasn't just on yesterday's showing, it's been a few games now where he has been below par.
I don't like singling out players per se, just want to know what other reds think of his performance(s).

He certainly hasn't been excellent defensively, he has been better though. He fits what we are trying to do in terms of adding that balance so I doubt he will be high on the list of players to replace from Klopp's point of view. He definitely has a mistake in him though, which may be the case for a while yet.

He does have a mistake in him, last season mostly due to thinking he has too much time on the ball in defensive areas, this season mostly how high up the pitch he should be and when. He's still very young, the best way he'll learn is to be playing games and I think he's worth the risk of a mistake as I think he has huge potential.

I'm confident Moreno will be VERY good at football.
He does make the odd fairy footed mince tackle though. The reverse hands behind his back against Bellerby last season was just awful. The weekend he should have took care of it before it got anywhere near Can.
Young players do this though.

Bellerin*
Anyway I don't think he makes errors rather the odd shiiiiiiite challenge. Semantics I know.

What people have got to realise is that can, ibe, moreno etc are very young and will be inconsistent. Still loads to learn amd they will make mistakes, the biggest conern is can has made the same mistake 2 or 3 times....repeated mistakes are a bad sign.

The trouble is we have too many players learning the game without the consistent experience alongside them.
If you have 7 players who are 7/10 every week and often higher then you can afford some u23's who lurch from 8 to 4 to 6 to 5 etc.
We don't have that though. We have injury prone experienced players, new experienced players who are still settling in, and only a select few of consistent players who are usually 7/10 or better.
That puts too much pressure on the young ones and they look worse as a result.

We are crying out for some stability now.
I hope Klopp only makes 3 or 4 signings max across the next two windows.
We need a period of steadying the ship, letting him manage.

Lets hope they're more established too and not too many 'prospects'
We're crying out for some experiance too

So far Can hasnt been good.. Im not sure what he offers. Can anyone tell me? Hes poor defensively and doesnt score or assist. He seems to lumber around doing very little in midfield.
