Has been appointed Manager of New York City, is this the next step in his education as a Manager before eventually managing us?, how will this affect the EDS setup, sorry to see him leave Manchester to be fair, good luck to him in what ever he does.

Very interesting move.

Considering he turned down the Newcastle job in the summer i can only think this was part of the plan, albeit a bit quicker than they wouldve liked.
Be a great way of integrating the younger lads into league football like angelino whos already there, with Vieira fully aware of their capabilities

It will be equally interesting to see who takes over the EDS.

Think it's a great move. With clubs like Newcastle sniffing around this summer, he could easily have his head turned next summer (lack of control over transfers the main issue he had with Newky I think). Keeps him at the club and another step in his development. I know a lot of us would rather see him given a shot over bringing Pep in.

I still think Pep will be here next year and I still think we've got Paddy earmarked for the future.

3 year contract... Roughly the amount of time Pep sticks around at a club?

Tough job. NYC are useless. Their ageing stars were pretty poor this season and will be another year older and a little further over the hill next year. They don't have the ability to bring in any more highly paid stars so its the pensioners and whatever else they can chisel together. Like I said...tough job.
