I don't normally pay much attention to this, but some of the stuff he's written this week is ridiculous.
On goalkeeper Rob Elliot:
"It was just as well Elliot did play because not only was he outstanding in goal for Newcastle, he was the only reason they kept a clean sheet."
Really, Garth? There wasn't a single moment during the game in which an outfield player prevented a cross or a shot?
He goes on to say:
"The Magpies had scored one away league goal this season before the trip to the Cherries (in the 6-1 defeat at Manchester City) and having seen this performance I'm not surprised."
I'm sorry, but what on earth does that have to do with Elliot's performance against Bournemouth?
Garth's write-up on Scott Dann makes no mention of his performance against Liverpool. Instead, he just tells us that Firmino should not have been marking him for the corner from which Dann scored.
Similarly, in his review of Lukaku's performance against West Ham he seems happy to concentrate on PSG's reported interest in the player.
Best of all, though, is the bit about Mahrez letting Vardy take Leicester's penalty:
"So you can imagine my horror when I heard Alan Shearer state on Match of the Day that he wouldn't have handed over the ball. Thank goodness Ian Wright was on hand to provide the alternative view and make it abundantly clear that he would have given Vardy the penalty. Not all strikers are one-eyed green monsters after all."
One-eyed green monster? Is this a reference to Monsters, Inc., or is he trying to say that Shearer is jealous?
Like I said, I don't read it often. Is it always this bad?

This looks like one his better ones, some of the formations he does sometimes are all over the place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A few weeks ago he had a formation which included just 2 defenders, Alexis Sanchez at left wing back and Kevin De Bruyne as a holding CM.

Garth picked Eriksen, as well as Dembele from our team. Eriksen was relatively quiet, and I've not heard one Spurs fan mention him as being even one of our best players yesterday.

Garth Crooks is very fortunate to have such an accommodating captain as Wayne Rooney, who has waited patiently for him and other new arrivals to come to terms with Louis van Gaal's new system, often to Rooney's detriment.

Lol, what a clown Crooks is, a true dim whit. His extent of ignorance knows no limits.

The man is clearly deranged. His comment about Herrera/Rooney showed that much.
