Training with Utd trying to win a contract until the end of the season. He's a free agent just now. Not sure what to make of that, it hasn't really been a resounding success when we've re-signed players in recent years, even Dixon only started to look more like it on Saturday! Also I thought he was a bit of a fud towards the end of his time with us, clearly had ideas above his station and he got us in bother at times with sloppy defending. That said, he's really experienced at this level and that's what we're missing to be honest, he could bring a bit of solidity to the defence.

According to wiki he's made one appearance for Oldham in the league cup since he left your lot. Thought he was regarded as a good player by utd fans.

He was regarded as a decent enough player, he held himself in a much higher regard though. I think he had a really bad injury which is why he only played once and this is him looking to get his career back on track since that.

I'd be happy enough with him signing if he could keep fit. He was a bit of an idiot but a decent defender at this level, better than what we have now.
Then again, we've already got one permanently injured defender, we don't really need another.

What does this say about Donaldson though? Can't play ahead of the bombscare that is Durnan and now will be 4th or even 5th choice. What a waste of a wage.
As for Gunning himself...meh. He probably is an improvement but that's just a reminder of how bad we are now. At least he's left footed I suppose.
And the landlords in Lochee will be pleased to see Gunning back.

No idea. I thought he looked ok at the start of the season but he was bombed out by Jackie and Mixu hasn't brought him back.
Can see him being released.
