May I be the first to wish one of our finest servants good luck tonight playing for his country on the international stage once again. Let's hope the Republic of Ireland can make it a "full house" of qualification for the big footballing home nations.
Come on Wardy!!
Good Luck Stephen...

Good luck to Leigh Griffiths as well, as he imagines what could have been had he not had the misfortune to be Scottish.

Fantastic achievement for all four of the big footballing home nations to make the tournament next year.
Certainly speaks volumes for the standard of the leagues in this country.

Indeed. And if Scotland are not careful, they will have to qualify for the qualifiers - their standard of football is simply atrocious.
They are letting us all down.

They beat themselves before they even set foot on the pitch. Perennial defeatists.
The only chance they have of ever competing in another major tournament ever again, is if Eufa of Fifa are stupid enough to let them try and host one. That's unlikey to happen anytime soon though, Syria are currently ahead of Scotland in the rankings for holding events.
