Anthony Martial Injury

Don't understand woy playing Carrick in these games when he should know he's more susceptible to injurys at this stage in his career. He's not capable of playing every week for utd because of this and now he's injured because of some meaningless friendly international.

I've often thought Hodgson does it on purpose because of the mix up over not picking him for Euro 2012.

Wtf has happened recently?!

I head off to Dubai for a few days and then check on here to find that Carrick and now Martial is injured?!

Oh and also to find we actually beat France??

We don't have that many injuries. The main problem is that LVG inexplicably decided to drastically cut the size of the squad, to such an extent that it is easily the smallest in the entire PL. Now, when we get a few injuries the lack of squad strength is exposed

You'll see an issue with that when it turns out our youth aren't actually all that good! They weren't even outstanding at youth level, so can hardly be expected to pull up trees at sebior level. Stupid strategy when done just for the sake of it, rather than because there is a genuine crop of talent coming through

The only fault I can see with LVG's squad trimming is that he left us short of a top striker.

Other than that, it really did need to be done.
