Sad news to hear as I am part of a family with kidney failure running through it.
Transplant is not a cure and is just the best form of treatment. Like many he was lucky enough to get a transplant and spend years away from dialysis. Sign up to be an organ donor and help those in need when you are gone.
Plus that attempted tackle by Underwood.......that's when he became a superstar of sport

Cal.
Kidney disease/failure puts additional strain on all your other internal organs. Fluid build up between dialysis sessions will stretch the heart and make it weaker. Potassium and phosphate buildup , especially potassium that can impact on signals to the heart

A real legend and a proper man, not like these footballers of today
==================
I hate the rugby / football comparisons that make all footballers bad and all rugby players angels. Football has its gentleman, as much as rugby has its thugs.
Back onto Jonah himself...RIP...
