You were deserved winners. Not complaining about that. But while I don't know what the win has done for you apart from giving you your first trophy in a while, it has had far reaching implications on our club.
It derailed our team during a time when we were in all competitions. Not saying that we would have won them all but we would have probably won the PL. It will also probably haunt Koscielny, a very good defender, for a long time. The stupid capitulation on all fronts after that told Cesc and Nasri that they needed to leave. And it has also put Wenger in a very vulnerable situation.
Grrrrr...
You had to win the Carling Cup, didn't you

I would still take that cup win knowing what I know now...and knowing we would be how we are now.
WHAT A DAY that was, what was it like to see real fans supporting a team?
This article has cheered me up, with all our doom and gloom! A sad, down, beaten, damaged Arsenal fan crawling to our board, saying how we ruined their chances of winning the English Premier League and caused all this.... your players bottled it, just like how our players did trying to stay in the league, move on.

Listen, you idiot. I came here posting a genuine article but a pathetic lowlife like you had to comment on it.
Have you ever seen our away support? Fans cheering our team throughout the game, in full voice irrespective of how the team is doing?
While we will probably rebuild and move on, I hope you languish in the Championship for years to come just because of lowlifes like you.

Come on Lads, let's be nice to eachother!
That's the whole point of the forum.
Good to hear from Gunners, we won, so no need to bite back.

On Arsenal's chances this season, doubt anyone will catch Man United or possibly even Man City.
Trouble is it is leading us all down the primrose path of having to buy our way to success.
Man Utd fans will say they have grown their players but in reality, there has been massive money pumped in and they are basically trading at a loss.
Much the same as every country in the world ie US/UK [not Libya though up until the 'civil' war though you would be a fool or a communist to think there is any connection between not being in debt and being attacked by Nato and being in debt and not being attacked by Nato...].
Getting back to footy, this spending and money being banded about merely adds to football players ending up as mercenaries unless they have continued success [read adulation and lots of money] to pander to their ever-expanding egos.
It may be that the true footballites or now only to be found in the very lower leagues where there are genuine fans and players alike who go to see the game played in the true spirit.

Yes, that game was a turning point for our club. No one knew how that single game would have such far reaching consequences. I hope for the better though. If after all the hullabulloo, we have stronger team without losing our flair, we will be better for that loss.
Oh yeah, I agree about true football fans being outside the PL now. That is very true.

I just always said Arsenal needed a bit of expierience they seem to go for flair players that add to their pace, attack and free flowing football at the cost to ability to defend better and break up play.
Mertesacker is just the right type of signing, i think our Dann would be also good competition for 3rd choice CB and i think Parker would give you some guile without a loss in attacking/passing prowes.

Dann probably wants first team football and hence is choosing Blackburn over Liverpool and Arsenal.

a lowlife like me? I support my LOCAL team through the hard times and the good times (let me tell you there isn't very many). If we get relegated this season I will still renew my season ticket and still get to whatever away games I can.
I never mentioned anything to do with your away support, I dont remember hearing them in full voice the weekend either...however your supporters are disgusting in general, not even staying at Wembley to watch your team pick up your runner up medals.
Also you say that about Dann wanting first team football hence why he isn't chosing you....you posted this article yourself, where you say you are desperate that Arsenal sign him...make your mind up!

Talking about fans being on their high horse.
I find that if a club has a bit of continued success their fans start being all high and mighty. Remember how Blackburn fans thought they were the beesknees when they won't the league?
We are seeing it more from Wolves fans who think they are the best thing since sliced bread. Arsenal fans were guilty of this also.
Sometimes it helps to be bought down a peg if two. Wenger needed a reality check and his mouth needs a couple of months rest.
I agree with MJbcfc you should support your local team. Eastend of London = Birmingham City. Obviously.

MJ - I have been supporting Arsenal since I was born 32 years, you nut. And I am from North London and they are my local team.
