Head-to-head
Liverpool are winless in their last six Premier League games away to Manchester City (D2, L4)

There have been at least three goals in each of the last six Premier League games between these sides - with a total of 23 goals scored.

Manchester City
City have won 12 of their last 13 Premier League home games.
Manuel Pellegrini's side have drawn two of their last three league games 0-0 after a run of 60 matches without a goalless draw.
They have allowed their opponents just 28 shots on target this season, while registering 83 efforts on target themselves. Both figures are the best in the Premier League this season.
Sergio Aguero has scored in all three of his Premier League appearances against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool
Victory would see Liverpool win back-to-back away games in the top flight for the first time since March.
The Reds' tally of 13 goals from their opening 12 matches is their joint-lowest at this stage of a Premier League season.
Philippe Coutinho has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances against Manchester City.
Simon Mignolet has kept 13 Premier League clean sheets in 2015 - which is bettered only by Joe Hart's tally of 14.

Magnificent performance, we never let City get into their stride and then their makeshift defence couldn't cope. It's not a case of City being poor it's a case of an absolutely brilliant performance and excellent management.

Lucas is MOTM by a mile, completely dominated this game.
_______
Agree with this. He would have stopped or at least fouled Aguero after Skrtel mistake but he pulled away thinking about 2nd yellow. We will miss in next game. 5th booking today

City were poor, but Liverpool were brilliant, especially in the first 30 minutes. Liverpool simply knocked the stuffing out of us during that time, and I think it was the case that City were poor BECAUSE Liverpool were so good.

Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up. Thoroughly deserved win for Liverpool. When a team puts in that kind of performance it makes the defeat easier to stomach.

Really impressed by Liverpool today.
