He could lose both his legs and would still be better than the joke that was Johnson

Are we forgetting that Johnson was a very good FB for several years? Yeah he got old and his performances deteriorated, but for quite a number of years he was great.

As for Moreno. Decent going forward. Bit dodgy at the back.

Johnson was a very good right back for us for a sustained period of time, which it seems has been completely forgotten by some fans.

Particularly under Hodgson and Kenny, it could be argued, that bar Suarez, Johnson was our best player.

He really went backwards under Rodgers though.

As an outlet when we are breaking from defence he is very good. In the city game he was oft found in space on the right when we were under pressure and relieved it.

Clyne has been a great signing. So consistent and hard working. After his 2nd game with us I said his positional sense was spot on and he makes our defence stronger. great business

He flows like a harpoon daily and nightly, and hes so nimble because he's full of eight ball

Johnson was a great signing for us, holding down the right back position for club and country over a number of years. Clyne is a little better defensively but nowhere near as good offensively than Johnson was. Clyne still has time to improve however.

I prefer fullbacks to defend first personally
