This is a pretty good read;

The league table since April 4th is an added little bonus, enjoy 😉👍

Well, Nial Quinn certainly 'loves us' judging by his SNF post-match analysis last weekend. Yes, he's not the greatest of pundits, that's for certain, but he was quick to announce that he was keen to see the team in action on a couple of occasions each month, declaring that they were 'a joy to watch'.

Subtle pleasantries you don't often hear directed towards many teams across the land right now.

Merson thought we were outstanding against Newcastle, he was amazed. He said "I know Newcastle are bad and have lost some games at home but they won't have had a run around like that before."

In his preview to the game he said "Leicester are the best team you'll see at 2-0 down but at 0-0 they're ordinary" or something like that. We proved him wrong ha ha 😂

HenrysCat - I think what happens is this:

Some pundits give us credit and say we're playing really well.
Other pundits give us no credit and think that our league position is just a hilarious joke.
Sensitive fans like Radio 5 man get upset with the latter group of pundits and go on a rant.
Naturally, the ones they rant at end up being the former group, who are the only ones who are willing to listen yet have done nothing to deserve it.

It's classic trolling of the easily-aggravated, and unfortunately it works too often.

DM. We've all seen it, we've all had it. You should be pleased you're in a position to receive it too.

You could be Chelsea. Those lads are close to topping themselves/changing clubs.

Some professional pundits don’t seem to like it when the usual world order is disturbed. They think it can only be a statistical anomaly, a purple patch in form and they can’t wait for it to be rectified. It’s almost like its offensive to their professional opinion.

Other pundits and observers are prepared to see it like it is. The team are where they are on merit, playing good football and give credit to those involved. They also know, like we do, that the usual world order will eventually be restored, but don’t feel insecure about the fact that we are defying logic or expectations in the short term.

The latest example was Garth Crooks on Football Focus: “….. yes, Leicester are top and it’s great and it’s fun, but the real story of the weekend is about Arsenal ….” Patronising git!

Remember we got 52 points out of 66 last season after our worst start since 1986 and we played most of the top 8 sides in those games to secure top 4 spot with 6 games to go. That form was better then Chelsea title winning form.

Interesting though when Leicester City hit form, we hit relegation battling form against the bottom sides. For Chelsea to get top 4 they will need to match Man Utd or Leicester points tally from those 22 games to have a realistic chance of top 4 spot with 3 games to go.

Its remarkable though if Leicester City contine this form they will get to about 86 points which is also title winning form.

as much as we'd love to be top, I'm enjoying this right now with Leicester having a real go. No longer same old, same old, and they've found ways to win against better "quality" sides. Freshens up the table, and this year, it probably won't be the same top 4 as every other season.

Mate that is one of best posts I've read, it was simple but I loved the point you were making. Coming from a United fan (or any big club fan), to settle for not being top in place of us and for you to actually be happy and enjoying us being up there rather than try to shoot us down and tell us we won't last, like some fans are crossing their fingers for, is as refreshing as us being top. Fair play mate 👍👏
