Tonight was one of the most consistent counter attacking performances we've had in ages. Some of the play was outrageous. Well done to the team and the coach for going in knowing nothing but a win was needed.
Not many teams will give us as much space as Zagreb did, but main thing was we made it count. The first and second goal were ruthless, maximum efficiency. Ozil could've had three more, and the build up to those three chances were just as good as the first.
Also a special mention to Joel Campbell, by far his finest performance in the white and red. This is what we expected from him. He's taken his time, so hopefully this is beginning of something good. It's one of football's finer sights to see a left footed player cut in from the right and play those visionary passes as he did so for Alexis's second.
Now to get into KO stages in a couple weeks
Brilliant counter attacking football

Good performance all round.
Monreal, Campbell, Ozil and Alexis the obvious stand-outs.

Completely dominated the game. There was relatively little to counter.
Good performance, restores some confidence. No reason to wet ourselves though.

I missed the first 60 mins. How was flamini overall? He seemed good from what I saw. But we we're comfortable by that point.
I want him to do well, as he could be our best DM option for next few months, plus he always puts in great effort. Just the ability these days lacks. But to be fair to him, on the whole I've been pretty impressed with him this season. Not quite as calamitous as last season

Looked good against mediocre opposition.
